Traditional networking lunches are great for meeting people face to face but lack real referral potential. Generally you hand out your business card to each person on the table and deliver your 60 second sales pitch trying to make a lasting impression.
But the real potential of networking is in referrals. However most people don’t want to accept 10 of your business cards to hand out for you. Although on average 84% percent of the people at your table are also in the business of networking and have several contacts that you might be able to serve.
This is where the power of a professional video presentation becomes a essential 10 fold marketing and networking tool. A simple follow up email containing your video presentation works in 2 ways. First it solidifies in a retrievable way your sales pitch and contact information. And second it is now an effortless referral on the part of the recipient. They can simply forward the link containing your professional presentation to the business contacts they were thinking about during your original lunch presentation.
It gets better not only do you have the real potential for numerous referrals but the referrals are not the traditional brief mention of you your name and services. But a polished 60 second presentation delivered by you about your services containing all of your contact information.
Now your only 1 click away from being referred into a second pool of networking business contacts and each time your referral maintains the correct contact information enthusiasm and professionalism as before.

iGeek3 asked: “Has social media ever embarrassed you?”
Have you ever been embarrassed by something someone, or even you yourself, posted on a social networking site? Have you ever had something come out that you didn’t want the world to know, but it came out anyway? Perhaps something was said or done that wasn’t entirely true, but was embarrassing anyway?
Social media is like any other community in that information and details about your life may surface, whether you gave the okay or not. Photos taken at parties, drunken tweets, and other potentially damaging actions can turn even the most transparent and open individual red in embarrassment. It happens, but it’s something you can take steps to avoid.
